Am I really going back to the airport again already?  In some ways Kona already feels like it was a month ago and the long term experience is settling into my mind.  That was AWESOME! The experience was so much more than just the race and although I usually do not plan out much in advance, I realize already just how much I wanted to get back next year.  Monique asked me about the course and specifically if it was not the World Champs would I still want to race …

Ironman World Championship race report

As I wrote in my last blog, I now understand why this race is called “the big show”.  It is so much more than just the race itself and the course is the real deal.  It is hard, strategic, competitive and has a history that I really began to respect as much as the people who come here every year from around the globe.  People take this race very seriously too and I felt lucky to be a part of the race and fun before and after race day.  I …

I LOVE MOUNTAIN BIKING

I just posted some final thoughts on Kona and my recent training.  While that is some reflection and learning this post is all about what I have been up to and what I will be doing in a few weeks…and all next year.
The last two weekends, I have been collecting buckets full of inspiration watching Monique and my friends crush dreams at the seasons first SoCal Cyclocross races.  These have got to be the best bike spectating events!  An adventurous course that wraps around all kinds of cow bell shakin …

My thoughts are all over the place the last few weeks as I have tried to wrap things up at work before we head out on our vacation(s), plan travel, finish year end projects and actually stick to my training schedule for the first time ever.  Perhaps it is catching me at a low point when we are hit with actual rain in Socal and gloomy weather but I am pretty tired today.  I hope to get out some of my thoughts and always fall back to my honesty…even when …
